Busy on holiday

From this...

To this...

To now this!

Poor Husband was off for a week over Christmas, so I put him to good use LOL.  Those pesky Vegie gardens are now complete, thanks to lots of hard work.  Trying to get them in 'Straight' was a feat unto itself, we have used small felled trees from the Boy's paddock, and cut up the sheets of metal that were hiding behind the shed.  This meant that every bed was a different shape! Anyway...it is just for the vegies!
Transplanted herbs and a yellow capsicum
Tyres of potatoes, multi-storey potatoes!

Now we just have to order the soil, buy the veg, drape over the nets and we are away!
I am really happy with how the 'orchid' is going, but we will have to seriously cut these back in autumn (apologies that I don't really know what types of apples/pears there are - we didn't plant them!).
Green apples
Red Pears
Red apples
More green apples
A peach, apricot and some plum trees
Hamish and Sherman wishing I would open the gate to let them back to the girls...keep wishing :) Their paddock runs adjacent to the vegies and orchard.

  2. Thanks Jullia, it has been an awful, smoky, hazy day with high winds :( not good weather! We had to close up the house this morning as the smoke was so bad! Lucky for us to be out of the way of the major fires for now.
I just had to soil delivered today for the veggie beds, so this weekend we should have them planted up. Yes, I am looking forward to learning how to make plum, apricot and cherry conserves as well as making apple sauce, stewed apple, apple crumble, apple pie etc LOL! xx
